About This Cause
Reading & Math, Inc. is a national nonprofit that replicates evidence-based AmeriCorps programs: Reading Corps, Minnesota Math Corps, Minnesota Opportunity Corps and Recovery Corps. These programs combine the power of national service with instructional science to help struggling students transform into confident learners and help adults achieve economic stability. Reading & Math, Inc. administers the expansion and replication of Reading Corps in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia, California and Florida, and provides technical assistance to other states interested in scaling these programs to help more children achieve grade-level reading and math proficiency. Opportunity Corps members support economically-disadvantaged adults in accessing resources and building the skills needed to navigate employment and/or education to achieve economic stability in the Twin City area. Recovery Corps is an initiative to expand access to needed care and promote the recovery of individuals working to overcome opioid addiction and other substance use disorders in the Twin Cities. Reading & Math, Inc. is headquartered in Minneapolis, with regional offices in Milwaukee, WI; Miami, FL; Albany, GA; Stockton, CA; and throughout Minnesota.
