Mission Statement
The mission of The MyCareConnect Foundation is to support the physical and emotional well-being of children with diabetes, and those who care for them.
About This Cause
We are a non-profit charitable foundation that not only provides a solution (BlueLoop) to a families daily challenge of coordinating care for their child with T1D, but also delivers timely type-1 education, resources and support. EDUCATION & SUPPORT: Every person new to our program (roughly 30-35 people per week) receives support through direct phone contact, email and our new a video program whereby we deliver valuable, timely education and resources. Our thousands of existing families receive on-going education and support through a periodic (typically monthly) video education program. BLUELOOP: Our BlueLoop, which is a free web and mobile app resource that enables care coordination among caregivers, improving a child’s and family’s ability to manage a chronic disease, especially when the child is away from home and at school. The BlueLoop platform was founded on the premise that communication, not just data, is the key to positive health outcomes. As data is entered into BlueLoop, it’s instantly shared with designated caregivers (mom, dad, school nurse) through secure email and text notifications, keeping everyone in the loop. It is the family that sets up the account, provides access to various caregivers and ultimately owns the data – it stays with them through their entire school experience, from kindergarten to high school and beyond.
