COLORADO HORSE RESCUE NETWORK

Mission Statement

CHRN is a horse rescue focused on rescuing horses in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, and New Mexico.

About This Cause

Colorado Horse Rescue Network was established in 2013 after several founding members saw the need for a state wide organization to help needy equines. CHRN has two facilities located in Berthoud, CO and Rush, CO. We actively rescue horses from a variety of situations to prevent them from entering the slaughter pipeline or entering into abusive or neglectful homes. CHRN maintains a network of foster homes and transporters all over Colorado. CHRN always has fully vetted and evaluated horses available for adoption as well as resident horses in need of sponsorship. We are a part of the Full Circle of Life organization. Meaning we assist horses in all phases of life with a focus on those most in need, not just the ones that are easily adopted. CHRN is governed by a board of directors, which are made up of a variety of professionals, from authors to ranchers to breeders and trainers. We pride ourselves on our high standards of ethics. We strive to help every horse we meet, regardless of it's history. Many horses are rehabbed, and some we give that final gift of freedom to pass on without pain or suffering. In 2015 we instituted our Buy Out Program, which has gained national notoriety.
