Mission Statement
The Heart of Rescue’s primary purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home at-risk animals primarily in the Pacific U.S., plus to educate the public on the importance of animal welfare.
About This Cause
We are a foster-based, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue located in Eugene and Portland, Oregon, plus Los Angeles, California. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home at-risk animals primarily on the West Coast. We specialize in Rottweilers, but also welcome dogs of every breed and size. Plus the occasional cat. Our dogs are mainly rescued from high-kill shelters in California, Oregon, and Washington. We are often their last hope. We also accept some owner-surrenders. The Heart of Rescue relies on adopters in California, Oregon, and Southern Washington to provide our babies with loving, “furever” homes.
