Dog Rescue on the Pine Ridge Reservation
About This Cause
LightShine Canine rescues, relocates stray, unwanted and injured dogs from the Pine Ridge Reservation and gets them health care, socialization and eventually rehouse them through other rescue organizations and through LightShine. We work with the full cooperation of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. We also assist some Tribal Members in caring for their animals through food donations and vet care, offering spay/neuter when possible. We utilize the services of the Lakota people to rescue and assist with the animals in their communities. We also assist existing rescuers on the Rosebud and Lower Brule Reservations, as well.
