Mission Statement
Empower Youth is a gap-filler for rural poverty. Working with the schools and other organizations and individuals, Empower Youth tackles food insecurity, and provides meaningful work and educational opportunities. Empower Youth builds relationships with students and families and moves into lives to repair brokenness. This is not a handout program it is a life-change program.
About This Cause
Empower Youth currently is serving students in Southern Ohio focusing on rural areas that lack access to systems that can help students and families thrive. By partnering with local schools, Empower Youth is able to provide weekend food for students who do not have food on the weekends. Through the weekend food packs, Empower Youth begins a relationship with families that allow for other opportunities to be trusted. Empower Youth scholarships students to camp in the summer and go on college visits. Empower Youth is trusted by the schools and has been invited in to talk with students in kindergarten about dreaming big on careers and opportunities for them to have a brighter future. One of our biggest endeavors is the Empower Youth Ranch. The "EY Ranch" is a 15.25-acre property donated to Empower Youth by Community Savings Bank. That property houses the facility that over 1150 bags are packed every week. This "community" property is a testament to the true work of Empower Youth. The goal is to build relationships to build students into great citizens. Currently Empower Youth serves students in Clermont County, Brown County, and Highland County. Every year, there is an expansion in to a school that is the neediest of all while maintaining and building the services with our current schools.
