Mission Statement
Mission: Lake County Honor Flight celebrates America's veterans with a multi-day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.
About This Cause
Lake County Honor Flight is based in the City of North Chicago, a proud military host community as home to Great Lakes Naval Station. The Lake County Honor Flight trip is FREE for the veteran! Travel, meals, and other trip-related items are provided to the veteran at no cost. Each veteran is accompanied by a volunteer Guardian, who will assist them during the trip. Each Guardian is trained and is responsible for their care and comfort throughout the 2 or 3 day trip.
