The Open Source Technology Improvement Fund helps free and open software projects gather money, expertise, and resources to strengthen the security and usability of critical open source software projects. We do this through a combination of networking with security experts and cryptographers, fundraising, professional auditing, establishing bug bounties, improving documentation, and funding direct research into performance, UX/UI, and security improvements.
About This Cause
The Open Source Technology Improvement Fund helps free and open software projects gather money, expertise, and resources to strengthen the security and usability of critical open source software projects. We do this through a combination of networking with security experts and cryptographers, fundraising, professional auditing, establishing bug bounties, improving documentation, and funding direct research into performance, UX/UI, and security improvements. With over 100 security audits of critical open source infrastructure completed, OSTIF successfully bridges funding organizations, security experts, and open source communities to help improve the resilience of the software ecosystems that we all rely on daily.
