Mission Statement
Casa Circulo Cultural is a non-profit, truly vibrant grass-root, multidisciplinary art organization dedicated to creating cultural programming reflective of the experiences of the Latino communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to provide creative, educational, and recreational opportunities for Hispanic families while promoting Hispanic art, culture, and traditions.
About This Cause
We offer a variety of fun, enriching, and engaging classes for kids; varying from music (chorus, guitar, piano, recorder), art, theater and dance, to martial arts, chess, literature, origami and more. Most importantly, all of our classes are taught in Spanish to develop, preserve and encourage the Latino and Hispanic arts and culture. While the children are taking the various classes, we offer for the parents English classes so that the parents can better understand and help their children, as well as to bridge the gap between families and language barriers. Aside from our classes, Casa Circulo hosts, attends and partners in various community festivals and events throughout the Bay Area, but mainly in the City of Redwood City. Casa Circulo hosts the biggest event in November in downtown Redwood City known as the Dia de los Muertos Celebration, it is our flagship event which attracts thousands of people. This event has impacted underserved communities and developed into one of Redwood City's largest celebrations of arts, diversity, and culture. The seven- month-long project is a social outlet for local artists. The months are filled with workshops, concerts, and community building that leads up to the final celebration with its more than 10,000 attending. Casa Circulo, the Board, and the many volunteers from Circulo Cultural are striving to make a difference in the community. As a non-profit, we run on donations and grants; any little bit can help us help the community. Visit our website for more information at http://circulocultural.org/.
