Mission Statement

Waste Not Food Taxi strives to reduce food waste through collection services, education, and community resources, and to make more food available to low-income people without regard for housing, ethnicity, religion, income, or access to other resources. We believe that access to food is a right and throwing edible food into our solid waste system is wrong. We encourage recipients to volunteer as they are able. We believe that working together accomplishes more than working alone, and building community and a sense of purpose benefits everyone.

About This Cause

A network of volunteer drivers collecting excess edible food from producers and retailers and delivering it to hunger-relief programs throughout Oregon, especially directly to subsidized housing and low-income communities.
