Community Movement Builders is a 501(c)(3) member-based collective of black people creating sustainable, self-determining communities through cooperative economic advancement and community organizing. Our mission is rooted in Black love and equity.
About This Cause
Community Movement Builders is a member-based collective of black people building sustainable, self-determining communities through community organizing and cooperative economic development. We support long-term community members staying in their homes with mutual aid and a stabilization fund, conduct organizing campaigns against gentrification and police brutality, maintain a community house and garden, create opportunities for youth and leadership development and create cooperative enterprises to support alternative economic development. Our founding chapter is located in Atlanta we also have chapters in San Diego, Memphis, Detroit, Dallas, and New Orleans.
