Mission Statement
NextUp is a system of community leaders and service providers committed to putting more youth on the path to success. Our mission is to provide all Richmond Public School teens with access to high-quality learning experiences after the bell rings.
About This Cause
NextUp is building a city-wide expanded learning model which works in concert with Richmond Public Schools and mobilizes community-based service providers to increase access to, participation in, and quality of after-school learning opportunities including daily academic support, field trips, service projects, and electives as well as meals and transportation home—all at no cost to participants. By supporting youth development and reducing barriers to success, we create a system of complimentary learning supports that aim to close achievement gaps facing low-income and minority youth.
