About This Cause

We are a support group for the county shelter. Offering fostering programs, adoption events weekly for dogs and supplying cats to Petsmart for adoption on an ongoing basis. We offer TNR programs and help supply food to people feeding community and feral cats and who cannot afford to feed their dogs sufficiently and donate low cost food to County shelter to distribute in the community. We have an ongoing Barn Cat program and currently have 26 cats living a great life for onver 4 years at a chicken farms. We advertise that program, and persons living in rural areas contact the shelter through HATS advertising to get mousers for their properties, but must meet certain qualifications for prove care. We hold functions are local venues and invite the public to come out and educate people on care and feeding of their animals. We also have a low-cost spay neuter program partnering with Gaston Low-Cost Spay Neuter on a monthly basis and have spayed or neutered over 1000 companion animals in our County.
