About This Cause
Devices 4 the Disabled (D4D) is a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by offering access to essential medical equipment and specialized support services free of charge. Founded in 2016, D4D operates a distribution center where donated equipment is collected, revitalized, and redistributed to those in need, changing lives while preventing waste and promoting sustainability. D4D’s primary programs, such as the specialized Seating and Mobility Clinic staffed by expert physical therapists, ensure individuals requiring complex rehabilitation technology receive the best fit for their needs. Serving primarily underserved and marginalized communities, D4D champions accessibility and inclusion while empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives with greater mobility and independence.
