Mission Statement
California Coast Credit Union was founded in 1929 by local educators, and the non-profit Cal Coast Cares Foundation was created in 2015 to continue their legacy by supporting the local education community, including teachers, students and staff.
About This Cause
In 2020, the Cal Coast Cares Foundation is providing $100,000 in scholarships to deserving college students, graduating high school seniors and foster students who are in, or have been in, the foster care program in San Diego or Riverside Counties to pursue accredited degrees. The Foundation also supports local educators through grants for classroom projects. California Coast Credit Union is proud to announce a partnership with the City of San Diego and San Diego Grantmakers to create the San Diego Small Business Relief Fund – COVID19 to provide grants to small businesses heavily impacted by the pandemic. The credit union’s Cal Coast Cares Foundation is receiving donations on behalf of the relief fund. This is an opportunity for local corporations and individuals to come together to show our SD STRONG spirit by donating to this relief fund. To kick it off, California Coast has donated $100,000.
