Open Hands Medicine is a 501(c)3 charity with a mission to offer free acupuncture clinics in Nepal and other impoverished regions both abroad and locally.
About This Cause
Open Hands Medicine (OHM) is a charity founded by Daniel L Altschuler, EAMP, PhD, a practitioner of Chinese medicine for over 20 years. Trained in Taiwan, Daniel and his wife went to Nepal on several occasions to offer free clinics to local villagers, monks and nuns. The formation of OHM provides funding for sustainable clinics each year with a future goal of opening permanent clinics. A second mission of OHM is to provide advanced field training to acupuncturists and basic health care to select local monks, nuns and villagers..
