Mission Statement
Our initiative in neurolaw and data science brings together neuroscientists, judges, lawyers, policy makers, ethicists, and data scientists. We aim to determine how modern neuroscience will navigate the way we make social policy.
About This Cause
The Center for Science and Law (Scilaw) is an independent 501(3)(c) nonprofit which uses state-of-the-science data analytic techniques to advance justice. We harness neuroscience, machine learning, and legal research to understand reoffenders and inform policies that can make society safer while reducing incarceration rates. We focus on real-world impact with partnerships at the county and state level to support efforts in creating a data informed criminal justice system.
