The 22q Family Foundation: Taking the Mystery Out of 22q!
About This Cause
The 22q Family Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness for 22q11.2 deletion syndrome while connecting, supporting, and providing accurate information to families affected by the disorder. We believe that this syndrome, though rarely diagnosed, is extremely common. Our foundation offers free IEP consultation to families that have school-aged children. We help to partner with the schools, educating them on the syndrome and what a child/young adult with 22q may need in a classroom setting. We help organize family meet-ups throughout the country for families to connect. And we raise awareness through a variety of events both local and national to help more of the public understand just how common this genetic disorder truly is.
