Mission Statement
The mission of Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Inc. (CCCS) is to empower individuals through education and counseling to make sound financial decisions. Since 1985, CCCS has taught low-income Kansas families - including more than 300,000 individuals - to make sound financial decisions and achieve economic stability. Our agency offers free counseling over credit cards, budgets, delinquent mortgage and rent, pre-purchase of a home and credit report reviews. During these appointments we work to truly understand the client’s financial issues and correct the root of the problem to prevent future distress. We also help them to develop a budget and create an action plan that they take with them. We regularly hold classes at local detention centers, the Salvation Army, Wichita Public Library and many others. These financial classes help bring financial awareness to our community.
About This Cause
Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that provides individuals counseling sessions and education in the community to increase financial literacy. CCCS was founded in 1985 in Salina, KS and added a second office in Wichita, KS in 1986. CCCS has served over 300,000 people since its founding over 30 years ago. CCCS is a part of a large network of credit counseling agencies under the National Foundation for Credit Counseling that all provide individuals with the knowledge and resources to be successful with their finances.
