Our mission is to offer a safe space of hospitality for all; attend to basic, health, and educational needs; and provide opportunities to share, learn, and grow into self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
The Center of Grace’s mission is to reach out to the most vulnerable in the community. At the Center of Grace, the programs offered are designed to help low-income families and individuals receive the help they need to make their families strong and ready to flourish in the community. Programming coordinated at Center of Grace includes but is not limited to: • Basic needs services, such as provision of food, clothing, hygiene items, and emergency financial assistance; • Educational services, such as Boys & Girls Club programming for children K-12, before, after school and during the summer. English classes in partnership with Johnson County Community College, ELL preschool, and school supplies for low-income children; basic computer skills classes for adults. • Health services, such as dental cleanings provided by Johnson County Community College (JCCC), and a medical equipment exchange/closet. . Employment services: we partner with KC Scholars to offer free training and certifications for individuals who earn less than $45,000 a year, so they can increase their earnings. We collaborate with Workforce Partnership so people can have access at the Center to look for jobs, work on their resumes, sharpen their interview skills, and apply for jobs.
