Mission Statement
To provide emergency food, clothing, and resources to Anoka County residents in need while maintaining the dignity of those we serve.
About This Cause
ACBC Food Shelf is open Monday - Friday to provide free food, clothing, and resources to people living in Anoka County and the surrounding area. Families shop in our free grocery store which is stocked daily by volunteers. We provide unlimited fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, deli, shelf stable, bread, bakery, hygiene items, paper products, household items, birthday bags, and pet food in a warm and welcoming environment. Other programs at ACBC are: -Outreach Grocery Delivery Program for homebound seniors and those with disabilities -Weekly Program for those experiencing homelessness -Produce distributions twice per month to provide additional opportunities for people to access healthy food items -CSFP provider (Commodity Supplemental Food Program) providing food and nutrition education to low-income seniors -Summer Food Program for families with school-aged children -Thanksgiving Food Distribution providing 600 families with turkeys and other holiday favorites -Senior Center partnerships busing older adults in for food, clothing, and conversation -Clothing Store with free and low-cost clothing and household items -Birthday Bags for children ages 1-18 -Volunteer Program for people of all ages to help connect with the community while providing optimal services
