Learning Together's Mission is to meet the developmental, educational, and health needs of young children of all abilities.
About This Cause
Developmental Day Center The Developmental Day Center provides an inclusive center-based program for children from 18 months to six years of age with, or at risk for, developmental disabilities as well as for children typically developing. The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Average teacher to child ratio is 1:5. The center has a five-star rating from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and has earned accrediation from NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). For the 2017-18 School Year, Learning Together will operate 9 classrooms. Seven of the classrooms are located at Learning Together's main location on East Lenoir Street, and two of those classrooms are in partnership with Telamon HeadStart. In addition, we have a partnership with the Salvation Army and have two classrooms with them at their Community Center.
