Stone House makes a difference in our community by caring for and protecting adult and child survivors of domestic abuse, and helping them rebuild safe, secure, independent lives of purpose and self-fulfillment.
About This Cause
Founded in 1974 as an alternative to institutionalization for women facing mental health challenges, Stone House now provides comprehensive, integrated services for adult and child survivors of domestic violence (DV). Holistic and trauma-informed, our services address the full range of challenges that often accompany DV - mental health issues and substance abuse, as well as housing, employment and financial instability. Stone House combines the security of a safe home with a range of programs and services around personal growth, life-skill building and trauma recovery – all designed to help participants create a path to a fulfilling and positive life.
