Mission Statement
The House of Mexico is committed to sharing, celebrating, educating and promoting the rich art, culture and history of Mexico to San Diego and its visitors.
About This Cause
The House of Mexico is a member of the International Cottages in San Diego's iconic Balboa Park. The nonprofit organization is comprised of dedicated volunteers and community partners who seek to develop and an appreciation of Mexico while creating a bridge to multicultural understanding and goodwill. Popular annual events include the House of Mexico Lawn Program at Balboa Park's International Cottages stage area, featuring entertainment and food. The House of Mexico also sponsors Arte, Color y Fiesta, which is held in September at Balboa Park's Organ Pavilion. The free event commemorates and celebrates Mexico's Independence Day through traditional music and entertainment.
