Summit addresses today’s growing need for life skills, STEM career awareness, and educational preparedness. In 2020, we introduced a YES! Summit virtual conference for students in grades 6-12 that provided them with an opportunity to network with their peers, and attend a variety of workshops on leadership and self-sufficiency for academic and personal success. The Yes Summit features a motivational speaker, valuable workshops, and exhibitors. Potential workshop topics for the YES! Summit includes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) awareness and education, college preparation, and self-development. Seniors have an opportunity to apply for scholarships. Attendees can attend this complimentary event and also enter for exciting giveaways. The goal of the YES! Summit is for the Arlington and surrounding communities’ youth to inspire and imagine their possibilities. Winter Emerald and Gold Debutante Ball and Scholarship Presentation The purpose of the Debutante Scholarship Program is to provide personal development and educational scholarships to eligible young ladies. The program is designed to develop leadership skills, encourage unity, and promote community service and academic excellence in young women through mentorship and life skills training. The process offers a wide range of social, personal, career and educational enrichment opportunities for high school seniors. Activities consist of workshops, community service, etiquette training and more. Selected participants learn to successfully transition into the next stage of their high school and college career before taking their bow and being presented to society at the Ball. Educational Assistance Each year the Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education provides educational scholarships to students who've exhibited leadership skills, academic excellence and service to their communities. For more than 15 years, we've provided more than $400,000 in educational scholarships through our community and scholarship programs.
