Mission Statement
The Friends of Westwood Library is a nonprofit public benefit corporation dedicated to supplementing the Westwood (Los Angeles) Public Library's purchase of books and materials and its presentation of programs to children, teens, and adults.
About This Cause
The purpose of the Friends of Westwood Library is to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus attention on education, library services, facilities, and needs; to provide for fundraising and for volunteer and program support; to solicit and accept gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, and bequests to benefit libraries; and to do all other things that might be necessary or appropriate to support and enhance libraries and related community resources and, in particular, the Westwood Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library.
