Mission Statement
Futurepoem books is a non-for-profit publishing collaborative dedicated to presenting innovative works of contemporary poetry and prose by emerging and important underrepresented writers.
About This Cause
Futurepoem publishes and promotes the work of emerging innovative writers and distributes them nationally through our distributor, SPD Books in Berkeley California. We also publish work by important innovative writers through our online publishing platform futurefeed. In addition, we host free literary events both in New York City and nationally to present our writers to the publish. The press also is innovative in its approach to choosing the books that we publish. Each year we invite three new noteworthy writers, editors or artists to serve as guest editors and help select the books for the following season. Futurepoem has consistently published since 2002 and now has over 31 books in print.
