Mission Statement
The mission of Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. (C.A.C.) is to improve the quality of life for people in need by empowering them to become more self-sufficient by providing essential services in collaboration and cooperation with other community based organizations.
About This Cause
GCCAC provides services to all from enfants to senior citizens. Through our Child Development program, we provide child care, Head Start, and Early Head Start. Transportation provides transport to stores, doctors, and busing for Child Development. Aging services include meals on wheels, congregate meals, chore services, and help with signing up for insurance. We also provide energy assistance, help with rent, security deposits, utility payments. GCCAC has a first time homebuyers program. We do small housing rehab and weatherization. We also do development projects that provide low income housing in our county.
