Mission Statement
AMSAT is a non-profit volunteer organization that designs, builds and operates experimental satellites and promotes space education. We work in partnership with government, industry, education institutions and fellow Amateur Radio societies. We encourage technical and scientific innovation and promote the training and development of skilled satellite and ground system designers and operators.
About This Cause
AMSAT is a non-profit, educational organization. We are dedicated to keeping Amateur Radio in space. Its membership includes a worldwide group of radio amateurs that design and build satellites for the use of Amateur Radio operators. In addition we design and maintain Amateur Radio equipment on the International Space Station (ISS) so astronauts can speak to school children.
