Mission Statement
Camp Mark Seven (CM7) offers an array of recreational, educational, leadership and spiritual programs for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals of all ages.
About This Cause
Located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York, Camp Mark Seven, is a peaceful, welcoming retreat with a vast array of life-affirming educational, recreational and spiritual programs for deaf, hard of hearing, and KODA/CODA individuals. CM7, established in 1982, is home to outdoor and waterfront activities such as mountain hiking, kayaking, canoeing and swimming. Fun, adventure, safety, and great camaraderie in ASL are our passion for the campers. Our program is unique and has left a lasting impression on each and every camper and staffer. With campers and participants from all 50 states and several countries, we value full communication access at CM7. Vision: CM7, founded as a Catholic-oriented camp, welcomes people of all faiths and ages. The camp: Enhances the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing children and youth, along with hearing kids of Deaf adults (KODA). Offers individuals the opportunity to use American Sign Language. Provides Deaf senior citizens with the opportunity to relax and spend time together. Has a Mark Seven Bible Institute for individuals interested in the church. Offers a place for retreats, weddings, conferences, and other events. CM7 offers a diverse choice of programs for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals of all ages. CM7 is open to members of all faiths; everyone is welcome. A Catholic mass is offered for interested individuals when Father Tom or a visiting priest is on site. For those who wish to participate in prayer, we have a beautiful chapel overlooking the woods and lake. CM7 offers a total of 9 programs: ASL (American Sign Language) and Deaf Culture Immersion Week (Ages 18+) KODA Children Camp (Ages 9 to 12) KODA Youth Camp (Ages 13 - 16) Deaf Film Camp (Ages 13 - 16) Deaf Children Camp (Ages 8-12) Bible Institute Camp (Ages 18+) Family Week (families with siblings) Active Deaf Adults Camp (Ages 50 and up) Camp Mark Seven is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mark Seven Deaf Foundation, inc. and is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations. CM7 was founded on September 29, 1981.
