Mission Statement
We serve a free, hot meal every day of the year to the homeless and hungry of our community.
About This Cause
Independent 501C-3 that served 57,642 free meals in 2014. Nearly all of the food is donated from local grocery stores, colleges, restaurants and businesses. We couldn't exist with Kroger/Westover Dairy, Lynchburg College, Food Lion, The Fresh Market and Liberty/Sodexo. 8-12 volunteers every day cook and serve the meal, restaurant-style. In 2014, volunteers donated 18,272 hours - a value of $447,487! Nearly double our operating budget!
