Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide behavioral health, residential services, and primary health care coordination for marginalized and disenfranchised women, men, youth, and children living in the District of Columbia, many of whom are coping with challenges including mental illness, addiction, and the aftermath of trauma and abuse.
About This Cause
With the support of foundations and private funders, Community Connections created a specific fund to support those who are experiencing homeless or are in danger of losing their housing. The Helping Hand Fund provides critical, short-term financial assistance for individuals and families who have exhausted all other resources. Mark your donation “Helping Hands” and you’ll be providing assistance with: Birth Certificates or other ID documents needed for housing applications Housing application fees Unit holding fees Security deposits 1st month's rent Back rent, risking housing stability Utilities, at risk for disconnection Toiletry items, clothes, or other emergency items
