AJW will work tirelessly to help end the cycle of homelessness in our city by providing supportive housing to those suffering from mental illness.
About This Cause
At Jacob's Well, Inc. was incorporated in 1986, and is a 501C3 Permanent Supportive Housing agency in the City of Baltimore that provides housing and supportive case management services to the mentally ill unhoused in the city. We also provide transitional housing, offer laundry services, provide food pantry and toiletry items, offer ABE and budgeting workshops and employment guides, and we connect our clients with much needed mental health resources. Our residents experience community groups and meals several times a month and have an active Resident's Council that teaches leadership skills and provides input and guidance to new residents in our program. Most of our residents are long term occupants of their own 1 bedroom apartments, some remaining in our program for over 15 years. We are a staff working creatively to enable our residents to thrive, not just survive!
