About This Cause
IDRF invests in grassroots-level sustainable development programs through local NGO partners, focusing on education, women's empowerment, healthcare services, good governance, eco-friendly development, and disaster relief and rehabilitation. IDRF maintains very high compliance standards and overheads of only 5%. 95% of funds raised are sent for the development programs to the beneficiary NGOs. We are seeking your generous donations in helping raise the much-needed funds for continuing our various sustainable development programs that provide: 1.) EDUCATION & SKILL DEVELOPMENT: Free education to poor children and orphans, skill development to unemployed youth and school dropouts, scholarships to meritorious but disadvantaged, free hostel and education for underprivileged girls, etc. 2.) HEALTHCARE SERVICES: Mobile health clinics for slums and remote hilly areas, nutritional supplements for severely malnourished children and anemic mothers, organ prolapse surgeries for poor women, hospitals, path-labs, and dispensaries for rural poor, etc. 3.) WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: Revolving micro-loans and self-help groups for economic self-reliance, vocational training programs, 4.) ECO-FRIENDLY DEVELOPMENTS: Provision of safe and sustainable water resources and rainwater harvesting for the poor communities in water-scarce parts, desilting of ponds in villages to collect rainwater, and Climate Initiatives to reduce greenhouse gases-setting up biogas units, smokeless chullas, and planting trees. 5.) GOOD GOVERNANCE: Increasing women, differently-abled, and underprivileged members’ participation in rural local governance, livelihood support, social development programs, etc. 6.) DISASTER RELIEF AND REHABILITATION: Helping people hit hard by the pandemic to stand up on their feet again with financial assistance, livelihood support, and skill development and training programs.
