Mission Statement
New Song Community Learning Center is building on its rich history as a community-based non-profit to create a dynamic community wellness hub through partnerships, collaborations and community engagement that focus on education, health and workforce development serving the children, youth and families of Sandtown-Winchester.
About This Cause
Our Impact ● 34 Years of Service: Supporting the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood with education and community services since 1990. ● 5,000+ Youth Educated: Providing a continuum of Pre-K to 8th grade education, preparing students for high school and beyond. ● Community Development: Facilitating economic growth through partnerships, housing support, and revitalization of neighborhood spaces. ● 2024 Henrietta Lacks Memorial Award: Recognized for our impactful Voices in My Head Youth Mental Health Project, which offers a mental health mobile app for youth wellness. Our Programs and Initiatives 1. New Song Academy #322 (Pre-K - 8th Grade) ○ New Song Academy is a Baltimore City Public Charter School with a proud legacy of 32 years serving the Sandtown-Winchester community. Currently educating 186 students, the academy is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, holistic development, and preparing young minds for lifelong success. 2. ParentChild+ Early Childhood Education Partnership ○ In collaboration with ParentChild+, we serve high-need neighborhoods, including immigrant families, aiming to support 100 families in the first year, scaling to 400 families by year four.
