Mission Statement

By providing quality professional arts programs to the community, the Weinberg Center for the Arts strives to entice, enliven, educate, and enchant patrons of all ages, abilities and interests.

About This Cause

The Weinberg Center for the Arts, Inc. was established in 1995 to serve as a support organization assisting in fundraising and community relations for the Weinberg Center for the Arts. Funds raised by the Weinberg Center for the Arts, Inc. are used to underwrite programs and support Weinberg functions. The Weinberg Center for the Arts is housed in a 1926 Art Deco silent movie palace originally known as the Tivoli. It became known as a performing arts center equipped to showcase live performances and theater as well as film in 1978, when Dan and Alyce Weinberg worked with the local community to restore the grand old building following the flood of 1976. The Weinbergs donated the building, now named in honor of the Weinberg family to the City of Frederick. The City of Frederick continues to own and operate the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
