Mission Statement
The specific purposes of this corporation are: as a special interest group for those with Jewish roots in the former Austrian-ruled province of Galicia, today western Ukraine and southeastern Poland; to maintain a website; to publish the Gesher Galicia Family Finder; to publish the Galitzianer, a research journal; to conduct research including the indexing of archival vital records, surveys, and census books; to reproduce regional and cadastral maps; to maintain networking and online discussion groups; to promote and support Jewish heritage preservation work in the areas of the former Galicia.
