Mission Statement

The Robert Bosch Foundation Alumni Association (RBFAA) is a vibrant professional network through which alumni stay informed on issues relevant to transatlantic relations within the United States, Germany and the greater European Union.

About This Cause

Since 1984, the Robert Bosch Foundation has enabled more than 530 young American professionals to gain an in-depth understanding of the political, economic, social, and cultural environment in Germany and Europe, through an intensive nine-month fellowship program. Fellows participate in a comprehensive professional development program in Germany – from high level internships in government and the private sector to attendance at numerous seminars throughout Europe. Candidates are chosen on a competitive basis from the fields of business, economics, journalism, law, and public affairs. When the first group of fellows returned from Germany in 1985, they formed the Robert Bosch Foundation Alumni Association (RBFAA) – a vibrant professional network through which alumni stay informed on issues relevant to transatlantic relations within the United States, Germany and the greater European Union. The RBFAA holds annual meetings that feature prominent guests from both Germany and the United States. The organization also sponsors regional events to promote ongoing German-American dialogue on a broad spectrum of sociopolitical issues. For more information about the fellowship program, or to receive application materials, please contact Carolina Solms-Baruth at Cultural Vistas. Fellows automatically become members of the RBFAA upon completion of the program. For more information about the RBFAA, please contact the Alumni Coordinator, Ruth Conkling.
