Mission Statement

We Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of Mid-America profess to be a brotherhood dedicated to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the manner and spirit of Francis of Assisi, as witnessed by his life, Rule and Testament, in accordance with the Capuchin Reform and our Constitutions, and in manner consonant with the times. Vowed to the Gospel counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience, we seek interior conversion so as to become men of simplicity, prayer and penance. Our life is one of joyful service to one another in fraternity, and to the Church in diverse ministries, with an emphasis on those most in need, especially the oppressed and the materially poor.

About This Cause

The Capuchins are an order of brothers who live according to the Rule of St. Francis in the tradition of the Capuchin Reform. Following the inspiration of St. Francis, The Capuchin brothers, both priest and lay, live and pray together in community while serving the poor, the imprisoned, and the marginalized in Colorado, Kansas, Texas and foreign missions such as Papua New Guinea.
