Mission Statement

Our mission is to advance the independence, productivity, and quality of life for people with disabilities and families. UCPDC provides Day habilitation and treatment support. We accomplish our mission by providing Small Individualized Center-based Day Supports, Individualized Day Supports and Community Access Supports. These Day supports services provide a range of social, physical, educational, and recreational activities for those we support. The following Medicaid Waiver services are provided: Small group day habilitation, Individualized Days Supports, Employment Readiness, IDD Parenting Support, Behavior Supports, Respite, Companion Services, and Dietician/Nutrition.

About This Cause

UCPDC is a Non-profit 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) organization. We are driven by the core principles of integrity, compassion, perseverance, growth, empowerment, and courage. Leading with these principles ensures all participants receiving services from UCPDC are treated with dignity. UCPDC serves adults who have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, Down's syndrome, spinal cord injuries, head/brain injuries, visual impairments, hearing loss, and other invisible disabilities that are not immediately apparent and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide services to address cognitive and sensory impairments, as well as physically complex medical profiles. Our participants live in various settings such as long-term care facilities, natural homes, as well as host homes in the Metropolitan DC area (Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia).
