It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to serve others by helping to install values in young people and in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime on achieving their full potential.
About This Cause
The purpose of this corporation shall be to promote, through charted organizations, and cooperation with other agencies, the ability of youth to do things for themselves and others, to train them in Scoutcraft, and to teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance, and kindred virtues, using the methods which are now common use by Boy Scouts.
