Mission Statement
YWCA Central Virginia is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, dignity and freedom for all. Our YWCA has a comprehensive Domestic Violence Prevention Center (DVPC) with two emergency shelters, a Children's Supervised Visitation Center, a Sexual Assault Response Program (SARP), women's housing, a Ygyrl Leaders mentoring program, and a Racial Justice Program. We also run Church Street Bridal Shop, selling donated bridal and formal gowns. Our service area includes eight counties and two cities.
