Mission Statement
The purpose of DAWN shall be: To demonstrate the love of God for the world by acts of compassion rendered to the needs of the Altavista/Hurt/Gretna, VA area and to provide emergency services to needy persons within the vicinity of the communities served by the Altavista Ministerial Association. To coordinate the ministry of compassion carried out by churches, other volunteer organizations, and social service departments, which operate in the AltaVista/Hurt/Gretna, VA area, with the aim of avoiding duplication and waste.
