About This Cause
Miriam's House offers two short term housing programs for homeless women and families is Central Virginia. Since 1994, Miriam's House has worked to end homelessness in the community through providing a comprehensive program to empower families made vulnerable by homelessness. We work alongside families to address barriers to housing in order to rapidly place them into safe and affordable housing the community. Miriam's House provides case management and referrals in the areas of employment assistance, substance abuse treatment, medical screening, mental health treatment, parenting, financial counseling, and housing resources.
