Mission Statement
Our mission is to feed Southwest Virginia’s hungry through a network of partners and engage our region in the fight to end hunger. Since 1981, Feeding Southwest Virginia has provided millions of pounds of food to hundreds of partner agencies that have served hundreds of thousands of individuals in need of assistance. Our charitable distribution program feeds the hungry, right here at home.
About This Cause
Feeding Southwest Virginia is a 501 (c) 3 organization responsible for: - Locating, securing and transporting large quantities of food throughout our region. - Distributing food to the hungry through partner agencies that administer feeding programs. - Leveraging funds to feed more hungry people and provide savings to partner agencies and the community. - Rescuing millions of pounds of safe and consumable food that would otherwise go to waste.
