Mission Statement
The Wake Forest Woman's Club is a nonprofit community service club chartered by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs in Wake Forest, N.C., in 1961. Our focus is the enhancement and support of the social, cultural, civic and educational well-being of our community. Throughout the years our charity efforts have held true to this purpose, and we are an integral part of Wake Forest history and development. We find satisfaction through volunteer action! It’s a journey well worth taking.
About This Cause
The Wake Forest Woman's Club supports our community through charitable donations and volunteer hours. Our Club divides our volunteer work amongst five Community Service Program areas: Arts and Culture, Education and Libraries, Environment, Health and Wellness and Civic Engagement and Outreach. We touch the old and the young, at home and far away. Our clubwomen can be found tutoring at the local elementary school, assisting in local Town of Wake Forest events such as the Christmas Parade, Charity Car Show and the Historical Homes Christmas Tour. We connect with children through crafting at the Christmas Tree Lighting and with painting, projects and donations at the Boys and Girls Club. Annually we support in its entirety the Art in the Park on July 4th and help serve at the Purple Heart Honoree Dinner every August. Those in need are never far from our minds so we support and contribute to Meals on Wheels, the Tri-area Ministry Food Bank, Murdoch Developmental Center, Heifer International, Crop Walk and Safe Space Women's Shelter. We recently partnered with Wake Forest Parks and Recreation and enhanced one of our local parks with a Gloriosa Daisy Garden marked with a plaque dedicated to the eradication of Human Trafficking. The programs supported by the Wake Forest Woman's Club are abundant and diverse; but through each one, we have a singular goal - serving our community.
