About This Cause
Steadfastly adhering to a philosophy of a “hand-up, not a hand-out,” Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County is a powerful engine of collaboration and reciprocity whereby those who qualify–by having a history of steady income, verifiable need and a willingness to work hard–soon become involved in giving help to others. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian ministry dedicated to a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We conduct our programs in ways that are sensitive and respectful to the cultural context and the local faith community and reflect our belief that all are created in God’s image and deserve to be treated without discrimination.
