Mission Statement
We will work toward the elimination of domestic violence and provide emergency and support services for survivors of domestic violence.
About This Cause
Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. has provided shelter, on-going support services, prevention and outreach initiatives for over 36 years. Our direct services include, but are not limited to emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, material assistance, court accompaniment, children's programs, and empowerment education/support groups. Our efforts to end the cycle of domestic violence include prevention/awareness programs such as youth prevention programs in schools (middle/high/college), community trainings (public/corporate/partner agencies), and various outreach/awareness events. Many of our clients seek assistance and support immediately after a traumatic event or as they are fleeing a dangerous abuser. Therefore, is it critical that we have the ability and the means to provide safe harbor for victims and their families in those moments of distress.
