About This Cause
• Located in the Office of the Governor since 1983, spanning eight administrations The North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE) is a nonpartisan nonprofit comprised of North Carolina’s business leaders committed to help shape our workforce talent of the future. • The conduit that puts education into career-readiness context Where the business voice enters the classroom to provide insight for our students, our teachers and our principals. • Statewide partner with education departments and organizations Together, we implement experiential projects that help create a contextual fabric of understanding of the critical link between curriculum content and career-readiness. • The business voice and trusted advisor for NC Education for 42 years Our members create and identify best practices in education that lead to closing the workforce skills gaps and meeting North Carolina’s business workforce demands. • A non-partisan and 501 (c).3 non-profit This status affords our members a vehicle through which they can explore and participate in education initiatives to advance public education transformation in North Carolina. • Senior NC business leaders make-up our independent board of directors Provides the influence and autonomy necessary to deliver the aggregate thinking of diverse business leaders to our state’s education decision makers.
