Mission Statement

The Animal Rescue & Foster Program is a 28 year old rescue organization for puppies, kittens, cats, and dogs. ARFP is dedicated to giving these animals a second chance through spay neuter services and adoption services.

About This Cause

ARFP is a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to the care of homeless puppies and kittens. In the past nineteen (28) years, we have been able to rescue over 10,000 abandoned animals, and place them into responsible homes. In Guilford and Forsyth Counties alone, over 16,000 homeless and owner surrendered animals were euthanized in the past year. By placing homeless and abandoned animals into responsible homes, and making sure they are spayed and neutered before they go, we can all help to reduce this number. The Animal Rescue and Foster Program has many varied volunteer opportunities, such as helping with adoption fairs, special events, rescue and adoption phone calls, and fostering. Foster parents are responsible for caring for the animals until good adoptive homes can be found. ARFP provides the funding for the foster animal’s medical care, and the marketing needed to find good adoptive homes for our foster animals. ARFP volunteers carefully screen prospective adoptive homes and check into their pet care history before home delivery of the animal is finalized. The ARFP has strict adoption guidelines that are designed to ensure the safety and welfare of the foster animal. We welcome all volunteers no matter how much time they are able to invest in helping ARFP. We are located in Greensboro, NC
